Bhakti Station is the final iteration of a set of songs for a never-released album (until now) that had evolved over a number of years featuring various titles and artwork. If traveling this path is really more about the journey than the destination, I guess you could say the previous versions were whistle-stops along an itinerary that had Bhakti Station (and soon, Forevernow) as the destinations.
Earlier in my career I had a performing group that went through various personnel changes under the name “Bhakti” to symbolize the devotion I felt toward expressing the epiphanies of my inner life in song. In naming this collection, I wanted to honor the feeling of that period, or stop, in my life, hence, “Bhakti Station”.
